Part 1, Iraq: Water as a Weapon of Mass Destuction
During the Gulf War, allied forces destroyed the water and sewerage treatment infrastructure in Iraq. Subsequently, the US, using its vote on the UN Security Council, blocked products that would allow Iraq to rebuild its water & sewerage systems, and make its water safe for consumption. Add in US blockage of health products which could treat water borne conditions, and the causes of deaths of more than a half million Iraqi children are revealed.

Thomas J. Nagy has written an article for The Progressive titled The Secret Behind the Sanctions - How the U.S. Intentionally Destroyed Iraq's Water Supply. It tells of Defense Intelligence Agency documents that show that "the U.S. government intentionally used sanctions against Iraq to degrade the country's water supply after the Gulf War".
